Chubut is located between parallels 42° and 46° South Latitude. Its surface is 224,686 Km2. It is the third largest province in the Republic of Argentina.
Puerto Madryn is a modern tourist, commerce and industrial city of more than 90,000 inhabitants. Located in the western coast of Nuevo Gulf, in the Chubut Province, 50 Km north from its capital, Rawson , 450 Km north from Comodoro Rivadavia and 1350 Km south from the city of Buenos Aires. Puerto Madryn offers excellent tourist services to the visitors as nature, wildlife watching and alternative tourism activities.
Puerto Madryn is the closest city to the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area. This singular landform (An island joint to the continent by a narrow isthmus) was declared World Heritage by Unesco in 1999.
