Starting from Puerto Madryn to the south along RN No. 3 and after traveling 112 km, passing through the city of Trelew, you reach the intersection with RP No. 75, traveling this -21 km- se accede a la RP N°1 -de ripio-. Luego de 38 Km, se llega al Área Natural Protegida Punta Tombo, donde se asienta la mayor colonia de pingüinos de Magallanes, con una población de adultos de más de 400.000 ejemplares. Para acceder al área se abona una tasa de ingreso. Cuenta con bar y servicios sanitarios.
Returning along the same route and then joining RN N°25, there is access to Rawson, capital of the province where public buildings and museums can be seen and visited. Continuing the tour you can visit the port used by the "yellow fleet". You can also take a: Nautical Tour to observe Toninas Overas.
Another option is to continue along RN No. 25 towards Trelew, where you can visit the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum and the Pueblo de Luis Historical Museum.
Continuing west along the same route, you reach: Gaiman, an old Welsh colony that preserves its traditions, with interesting attractions such as its museum, historic buildings and typical tea houses. The way back to Trelew through the valley occupied by numerous farms is very picturesque, a route that allows you to observe some of the Welsh chapels and different agrotourism undertakings.
